100% at the KRAS European External Quality Assessment Schemes 2010
As the only Hungarian diagnostic service provider KPS Molecular Diagnostics scored 100% at KRAS European External Quality Assessment Schemes 2010 organized by the European Society of Pathologists.
Samples for the KRAS European external quality assessment scheme 2010 were dispatched in July 2010. Each participant received 3 unstained sections, paraffin-embedded material from 10 invasive colorectal carcinomas to be analysed for the presence of KRAS mutations. From 27 participating laboratories, 21 reported all 10 genotypes correctly. KPS scored 100% which is above the average European genotyping score 94%. Results of the KRAS European external quality assessment scheme 2010 were evaluated and discussed in the QAu ESP working group on 19/10/2010.
